This Week’s Useful Digital News, 2/26/12

Grab this off the front stoop … it’s your weekly summary of the important digital media news every Sunday here at Chris Miller Digital.  It’s geared towards folks who work for media brands, to make you even smarter than you already are:

FOCUS AND STRATEGY STILL MATTER

Your media brand may be broadcasting and posting content on your website and Facebooking and Tweeting and sending database emails and even texting your fans … but what moves the needle for the long run is keeping the focus on your brand and why people love you.

INTERESTING STUFF TO KNOW

Here’s an interesting fact about mobile devices:  18-24-year-olds with the least income are more likely to have a smartphone than the wealthiest people in older age groups.  Think being connected is maybe just a little bit important to these guys?  That’s just one reason why … if your media brand targets young folks … you want to make sure your content on all your platforms is smartly targeted and pertains to your brand … and that that content is integrated correctly across all your platforms, too.
