This Week’s Useful Digital News, 4/1/12

This post may be dated April 1st, but there’s no fooling going on … here’s a quick tour of some digital media news to make you look even smarter than you usually do at work this week.

KEEPING IT REAL IN SOCIAL MEDIA

One of the challenges radio brands have in social media is: how to talk right.  You can’t talk like a DJ or in promo-copy-ese; when you do, you sound so totally jive-ass and phony that people might even stop reading your posts, because they can tell you’re not being sincere.  However, you still need to talk in a consistent “brand voice.”  This first article has some good tips on how to see, hear and use your social media brand through the correct lens to start reaching maximum engagement.
