This post may be dated April 1st, but there’s no fooling going on … here’s a quick tour of some digital media news to make you look even smarter than you usually do at work this week.
One of the challenges radio brands have in social media is: how to talk right. You can’t talk like a DJ or in promo-copy-ese; when you do, you sound so totally jive-ass and phony that people might even stop reading your posts, because they can tell you’re not being sincere. However, you still need to talk in a consistent “brand voice.” This first article has some good tips on how to see, hear and use your social media brand through the correct lens to start reaching maximum engagement.
Here’s another piece in a similar vein. Why not print these and share them at the next staff meeting?
Here’s a fresh perspective on how to meld old-style marketing thinking with new-style social thinking. While you’re engaging and entertaining your fans, they still want that backstage pass to your brand … give them advice and guidance about how to use your product.
